It sounds like you have had quite a shock health-wise. I send you best wishes for a positive healthy long term outcome. When these things appear out of nowhere it puts everything in perspective.
Nice one. That social media negativity bug is very powerful. So a commitment to at least trying to focus on positive interactions has to be a step forward.
Thanks for the book recommendations. I’m currently reading ‘The Offing,’ by Benjamin Myers (author of The Gallows Pole). He writes beautifully and evocatively about the English Countryside. Worth a look.
I had some surgery earlier this year- nothing too serious, albeit overdue; combined with getting COVID last year, the experience has taught me a valuable lesson too.
Simply put, after 50 the time it takes to heal shows how essential overall fitness is to us. And, as you say, why complacency is even less desirable. Finding ways to wholly defuse negativity is the next, part time challenge.
Glad your over you health scare, and I’m confident your positive attitude will keep you healthy.
I try so hard to stay positive and help those around me to see how blessed we are with the little we have and try help them avoid the negative stuff. Unfortunately a lot of people love a drama in their life and dare I say at times I think some people are not happy unless their miserable or there is a miserable story going around. Overall I still believe most people are nice and nice behaviour is my daily task to pass on to others.
After reading about your weights exercises recently I have now bought some weights and love using a few times a week.
